Born into a world where adversity seemed to be the only constant, ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐๐ญ ๐๐จ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฃ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฏ๐ข๐, who hails from ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐จ๐๐ง๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐, was determined to surpass every challenge with courage and perseverance. Entering the portals of the Philippine National Police Academy, where every day is a day to survive, he triumphed with flying colors, finishing as the ๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐. He will also receive the ๐๐ข๐๐- ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐, ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐, ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐.
He was exposed to the harsh realities of growing up in poverty at an early age. After graduating from elementary school in their town, he wasted no opportunity and grabbed the offered scholarship from the ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ง๐. in his high school, giving him the chance to study with free education, food, shelter, and clothes. This is where his passion and willingness to serve the country were molded. Through his persistence, he graduated With Honors from his class and started to wonder where this molded passion could take him.
Unlike the popular stories of cadets who face more difficult times upon entering the Academy compared to their civilian lives, J/CDT Saldavia faced much more difficult obstacles while working as a Jollibee service crew. He had to work rain or shine to earn a living while pursuing his studies for ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ. Likewise, these did not hinder him from achieving greater heights by using these trials as stepping stones towards success.
His ability to balance everything allowed him to endure the rigorous training from his plebehood to his immaculate years, despite the exhausting physical and mental demands of being a cadet. As the tagline he uses puts it, “๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐.” From his plebehood onward, he continuously placed in the top 10 of his class and was awarded the ๐๐๐๐ง’๐ฌ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ badges, showcasing not only his tremendous intellect but also his remarkable strength and agility.
With this experience, he challenges the Filipino youth who aspire to walk the less-traveled path to prepare themselves on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual basis. He disclosed that the key to overcoming obstacles in life is to be submissive while embracing the process of their journey, as it will impart valuable knowledge regarding the end goal. โ๐ฐ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ , ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ ’๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐’๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐,โ he shared.
Soaring high like an eagle, Jail Cadet Saldavia serves as proof that achieving oneโs dreams is possible with unwavering determination and dedication.
