A Passionate Achiever and a goal-getter. For Fire Cadet Torlao, in reaching the peak of an uphill climb, it is paramount to have a clear aim, a genuine purpose, and the drive to chase your heart’s desire, even if it meant going to the ends of the earth.

Such sheer and unbounded determination, she reckons as a lesson from her years of study either as a civilian or as a cadet, was Fire Cadet Torlao’s main ingredient to success. Despite many setbacks coming her way—even succumbing to depression brought on by her mother’s demise while being the driver of the motor vehicle, with deep emotional wounds, she took courage to carry on from remembering the ambition her mother would want for her to achieve, and finished her studies in Metro Manila College as Summa Cum Laude in her criminology course.

From then on, Fire Cadet Torlao’s life followed a streak of wins—passing the board exams hereinafter and becoming accepted as one the few and the bold members of MASIDTALAK Class of 2023.

Though she started her cadetship journey like an ember, Fire Cadet Torlao was able to blaze like a flame—consistently making her name on the dean’s list despite the hardships of plebe hood and the constricts of time. Fire Cadet Torlao did not falter at the severity of the atmosphere but rather found more reasons to invest in learning and never give up.

“I already anticipated the struggle when I joined the academy, but being focused on my goal of becoming a law enforcer, I persisted,” expressed Fire Cadet Torlao, showing her resilience throughout the years.

Despite the extreme efforts exerted and battles she conquered, Fire Cadet Torlao, however, takes no credit for her achievements. Keeping her feet grounded, she dedicates her accomplishments to her family, especially his father, Rodolfo Torlao, for his support in every venture she took an interest in.

“To my brothers and sisters, Rogine, GR, and Rome being my inspiration. I would also like to thank those people who helped me grow and imparted me the best lessons,” Fire Cadet Torlao lets on, finding purpose from all her experiences as preparation for the much harsher reality outside the Academy’s walls.

Learning to live through the scars of the past, Fire Cadet Torlao developed a strong backbone to withstand all adversities, while having a resolute mind and a humbled heart—filled with gratitude and faith.
