“The Story of Pakkil, Uyasan and Balingsat”
Once upon a time, there were three best friends named Jaelord, Jorim, and Kenneth who grew up in the small town of Bangel in Luba, Abra. They came from humble families who earned their living through farming. During their elementary days, they sold scrap metals during recess to have money for snacks. In high school, they worked odd jobs like farming and carpentry to earn extra money.
After graduating from high school, Jorim and Jaelord decided to study Engineering in Baguio City, while Kenneth pursued Criminology in San Fernando, La Union. They enjoyed their college days, but things took an unexpected turn when Jaelord announced that he would be joining the Philippine Military Academy in 2017.
Jorim and Kenneth continued with their studies until they decided to take the PNPA entrance examination in 2017. Fortunately, they both passed and went through the processing. However, only Jorim made it to the final list, leaving Kenneth disappointed but still supportive of his friend’s success.
Kenneth then decided to finish his course and took the Civil Service Examination and the Criminology board exam before taking the PNPA entrance examination for the last time. And with God’s grace, he passed it all.
All three friends underwent their cadetship, facing various challenges along the way. They were driven by their motivation to prove themselves and succeed. Meanwhile, Jaelord graduated from the Philippine Military Academy in 2020, and Jorim followed his footsteps by graduating from the Philippine National Police Academy in 2022.
Finally, in March 2023, Kenneth is set to graduate from the Philippine National Police Academy. The three friends proved that even though life takes us on different paths, true friendship endures. They worked hard and supported each other through the ups and downs, proving that hard work always pays off.
