From the Rugged Peaks to the Hallowed Grounds

In the quiet, mist-covered mountains of Pitawan, Oong, Hingyon, Ifugao, life is not measured by luxury, but by the strength of oneโ€™s back and the depth of oneโ€™s resolve. It was where the ๐—ฅ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ธ ๐Ÿฑ of the ๐—ฃ๐—ก๐—ฃ๐—” ๐—ฆ๐—œ๐—Ÿ๐—”๐—ก๐—š-๐—ฃ๐—”๐—š๐—Ÿ๐—”๐—ข๐—  ๐—–๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ,ย  ๐๐‚๐ƒ๐“ ๐ƒ๐€๐‘๐˜๐‹ ๐‚๐€๐‹๐ˆ๐๐†๐€๐˜๐€๐ ๐‹๐”๐๐€๐† was forged. Raised by his parents, David and Corazon, as the fifth child in a family that traded sweat for survival, ๐๐‚๐ƒ๐“ ๐‹๐”๐๐€๐† learned early on that the mountains do not give anything freely, they must be climbed.

His path to leadership was never a paved road; it was a steep, narrow trail built on sheer will. Many see the Alternative Learning System (ALS) as a mere alternative, but for him, it was a lifeline. It was the first spark that proved his origins would never dictate his destination. From those humble beginnings, he rose to become the Class Valedictorian of Riverview Polytechnic Academic School, proving that brilliance can bloom even in the most challenging terrain.

But the true test of his character came during his years at Saint Maryโ€™s University. While pursuing a degree in Accountancy, ๐๐‚๐ƒ๐“ ๐‹๐”๐๐€๐† lived a double life that few could endure. He was a scholar by day and a farmer by sunset. He spent countless hours under the scorching sun, digging into the earth to plant tomatoes not just to harvest crops, but to harvest a future. Every drop of sweat that hit the Ifugao soil was a down payment on the dreams he carried in his heart. For him, the soil was never just dirt; it was the foundation of his aspirations.

Driven by the firm belief that โ€œpoverty is not a hindrance to success,โ€ he eventually traded his farming tools for the uniform of the Philippine National Police Academy. The discipline he learned tilling the mountainside became the very discipline that led him to become the 2nd Platoon Leader of Golf Company and a member of the prestigious Slow Drill Platoon.

As the ๐—ฅ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ธ ๐Ÿฑ of the graduating ๐—ฃ๐—ก๐—ฃ๐—” ๐—ฆ๐—œ๐—Ÿ๐—”๐—ก๐—š-๐—ฃ๐—”๐—š๐—Ÿ๐—”๐—ข๐—  ๐—–๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, ๐๐‚๐ƒ๐“ ๐‹๐”๐๐€๐† stands as a living testament to resilience. His journey, from the tomato patches of Ifugao to the frontlines of leadership, serves as a beacon of hope for every young boy and girl in the highlands who dares to dream big.

Today, he no longer tills the earth; he prepares to protect the nation. He is a farmer who found his harvest in service, a scholar who found his calling in sacrifice, and a son of Ifugao who carries the pride of his people into the future.
