Police Cadet Clarie Gean Lamusao Pambid was born in Magnuang,Batac City, Ilocos Norte. She then lived with her grandparents in Gammad,Iguig,Cagayan where she started her education. Living away from her parents, she learned how to be responsible at an early age to become a role model to her younger brother.

In high school, she was a youth leader and a volunteer who participates and assists in different community activities. Unfortunately, her father passed away on her 8th grade. Although saddened by this loss, she had seen how her mother, Mrs. Jesusa L. Pambid, worked hard to provide for them. Inspired and motivated, she gained more determination to continue her fight. Driven by her father’s words, “Palpasem ti anyaman nga nirugiam, planuem ti masakbayam ngem han mo liplipatan ti nagapuam.” (Always finish what you have started. Plan for your future, but never forget where you came from).

Her tertiary education dawned in Cagayan State University, one of the top performing schools for her chosen degree, Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science. She dreamt of becoming a doctor, she imagined herself travelling to far-flung areas to deliver medical needs for those who had little to no access of medical care. She envisioned herself clad in a lab coat saving lives, dedicated to living the life of a great and compassionate healthcare provider. Shifting from this road, she took a turn towards the path less travelled and chose to become an instrument of God’s good will to serve and protect. From here came one of the greatest blessings in her life which is when God opened the maroon and gold gate for her. She was able to pass the Philippine National Police Academy Cadet Admission Test at her first take.

She surpassed the rigorous life of plebehood and became a member of the Vox Corps-the Speakers’ Board of PNPA. She is one of the voices behind parade and reviews, programs, and the Silent Drill Company of MASIDTALAK Class of 2023. Selected from the rigid screening process of becoming a member of this bureau, it was instilled in her the significance of having passion and teachable heart. This humbled her while soaring high for her dreams.

As the lone female cadet among the 11 graduating cadets from Region 2, she persevered and strived not only to be at par with them but even excelled both in academics and tactics. Her limits were challenged but resigning never became one of her options.

“I knew the hardships that my mother had surpassed for us, but she never gave up. She did it, and so can I.”

Her profession might have deviated from being a promising competent physician to being one of this year’s adept new breed of police commissioned officers, still, her heart’s desire to help her family and other people, prevailed. She stands constant and firm to what she believed her life’s purpose, to become a servant of the Lord by serving the Filipino people.

Truly, she had been confronted by life’s challenges and difficulties. Nevertheless, she persisted.

“God can open doors no one can ever do; and no one can shut the doors that God has opened for you”
