๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐, a 22-year-old pride of General Santos City, South Cotabato, carries a name that resonates with both legacy and high expectations. As a member of the ๐ฃ๐ก๐ฃ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ก๐-๐ฃ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐น๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, her journey is not merely about following a map already drawn by her father, ๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข ๐๐ฆ๐ฃ๐๐๐ of the ๐ฃ๐ก๐ฃ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ก๐๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ ๐๐น๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฎ, but about forging her own trail through the rugged terrain of Cadetship.
Long before she became part of the Long Maroon Line, PCDT ESPIDA was a student of responsibility. While her peers were focused on play, she was the eldest daughter managing the familyโs sari-sari store late into the night and waking at dawn to care for her younger siblings, April and Jr. At just ten years old, she was already an entrepreneur, selling street food like fish balls and pastil to help her family and gain a sense of independence. These early years, though marked by financial challenges, instilled in her a maturity that far outpaced her age.
Her academic life was equally disciplined. A consistent honor student from kindergarten through high school at Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, she eventually graduated from Mindanao State University with a singular focusโto make her parents proud. Her mother, Angie, her fatherโs constant source of strength, provided the nurturing balance to the disciplined example set by her father.
The decision to enter the Philippine National Police Academy was a surprise to many, yet PCDT ESPIDA had begun preparing for it as early as her third year of high school. Though she passed the entrance exams for the PMA, PMMA, and the University of the Philippines, her heart remained fixed on Silang.

Stepping into the Academy meant navigating the dual pressure of being one of the youngest female Cadets in her batch and the daughter of a respected Lakan. In moments of self-doubt, she leaned on the simple, profound mantra passed down by her father: โtanggap lang nang tanggapโโto simply accept and endure whatever challenges come.
Today, PCDT Espida is far more than a โdaughter of legacy.โ She serves as the 3rd Battalion Cadet Affairs Development Officer and is a prominent member of the Silent Drill Company and the Slow Drill Platoon Speakers Board. She has transformed the perceived weight of her fatherโs reputation into fuel for her own excellence, proving that being a woman in a male-dominated space is a unique strength rather than a hurdle.
Her growth over the last four years is anchored in the resilience she learned from her late grandfather and an unwavering faith in God. As she nears the end of her Cadetship, she looks back not at the barriers that stood in her way, but at the person she became while breaking them.
