I am CDT 1C Shaira Nica Baluyut Gigante, from the Melting pot of Central Luzon, Tarlac. My path to the Philippine National Police Academy was a test of my resolve. I faced a heartbreaking rejection during the final phase of processing from a previous class, yet my dream of service never faltered. Every sleepless night and every moment of hard work was a worthy investment in a life I was determined to lead. My story stands as a testament that failure is not an end, but a crucial stepping stone toward success. Before even entering the academy, I was known for my active leadership in youth groups and as a member of my college’s student council.

Today, I serve as the Fourth Battalion Commander, a role where I strive to inspire my subordinates with exemplary leadership, discipline, and a profound commitment to service. I vow to wake up every day committed to inspiring my subordinates, guiding them to serve with purpose and passion. My dreams were sketched together with my family, and they are the powerful reason I have no reason to quit. I hope my journey can be a beacon of hope, proving to all aspiring cadets that a life of service is a dream worth fighting for.
