As young individuals, we admired the great men who gallantly protected our country against violence and disorder. Their image became embedded in our minds—an epitome of peace, a light against the shadows. Inspired by their example, we embraced the call to serve, shaping our destiny as future protectors of the nation.

The thousand islands of the Philippines form the foundation of our rich and diverse culture. Among the country’s finest, only the best is chosen through fair yet rigorous selection to become part of the BSPS CL-2022 of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA). Nearly twenty thousand aspiring young Filipinos from across the nation applied, each hoping to take the first step toward their dream. The anticipation of receiving a notice to take the exam was as grueling as waiting for a once-in-a-lifetime comet to appear. On November 27, 2018, the PNPA Cadet Admission Test, the most coveted examination for aspiring public servants, was held in every region of the Philippines. That day marked the beginning of a life-changing journey for those who would soon dedicate themselves to the service of the nation.

The results of the PNPCAT were announced in the second week of December, paving the way for nearly two thousand cadets to face the next challenge in their journey to enter the prestigious gates of the academy. Traveling from the farthest parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, they endured great distances to reach the heart of public service. Through various rigorous phases, their willingness and determination were tested, ensuring that only the most dedicated would prevail. After months of anticipation, the long wait finally ended, and on the first day of May, these young aspirants were welcomed with a scorching passion, ready to embark on their transformative journey.

𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙍𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨

Under the Summer sun, 250 cadets marched with pride, embodying their love for the country. The rigorous physical and mental tests began, marking their metamorphosis as they shed their civilian identity. Each day was a battle of endurance, pushing many to their limits, but after 60 arduous days, the ALAB KALIS CL-2022 emerged.

𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙍𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨

Only 230 cadets remained, proving their resilience as they were officially welcomed into the long maroon line. The journey continued with their first major challenge—mastering discipline, skills, and camaraderie. Their passion was tested, and their identity as future leaders was forged.

𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙍𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨

February 7, 2019, marked the pre-recognition rites, strengthening bonds between upper and underclass cadets. On February 10, they stood proud as families witnessed their transformation into full-fledged cadets. The daunting initiation phase ended, ushering in a new era of responsibility.

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 – 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙧

As newly recognized upper-class cadets, they took on leadership roles and embraced tradition. They excelled in academics, honed their critical thinking, and became the PNPA’s performing class in the Silent Drill. Their discipline and skill earned them recognition in national silent drill competitions, proving their excellence in any core.

𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 – 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙

Despite challenges like the Taal Volcano eruption and the COVID-19 pandemic, they pushed forward with their training. They refined their skills in internal security operations and drill performances, embodying discipline and resilience. As leaders, they mentored younger cadets, shaping the future of the corps.

𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 – 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙙

In their final year, they balanced leadership and training, guiding the underclass while mastering Close Quarter Battle tactics. They excelled academically, won international research competitions, and set new standards for excellence. With unwavering determination, they paved the way for the next generation, ensuring their legacy echoes for eternity. The cadet corps was once again shaped and renewed. Though there are few more to change, the class continuous to set higher summits for the next class to climb and to exceed.
