We stumbled and fell, we crawled and then we trotted under heat, on rough and thorny paths, compelled by roaring count with seat, tears, and blood. Our senses were in a jumble but our minds would not let us drop. The boldness in our souls, blessed by a silver sword, the faith in their spirits engraved in golden words and the strength of our will on earth of clay was molded. Our wisdom shouted, “We go…. For better or for worse”.
Only 70 of them, including three turned-back cadets from Class 87 were able to withstand the rigors of a two-year cadetship training with the highest degree of discipline imposed upon them.
All Police Lieutenants of Tagapagtaguyod Class of 1988 were absorbed into the Philippine National Police as Police Senior Inspectors with the enactment of Republic Act 6975 pursuant to General Orders No. 351 issued by the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management dated February 27, 1998.



The TAGAPAGTAGUYOD Class of 1988 had 76 graduates and produced 17 star-rank officers across the tri-bureau, with 62 original members still living.
