The journey from the tranquil City of Island Adventures to the demanding environment of the Philippine National Police Academy in Cavite is a major shift. For 𝘗𝘖𝘓𝘐𝘊𝘌 𝘊𝘈𝘋𝘌𝘛 𝘋𝘈𝘕𝘐𝘌𝘓 𝘈𝘉𝘌𝘑𝘜𝘌𝘓𝘈 𝘓𝘐𝘚𝘖𝘕𝘋𝘙𝘈, it was more than simply a change of environment; it was an opportunity to develop and challenge his boundaries.

From the quiet surroundings of Surigao City, this driven young man not only survived cadet life; he excelled in it, securing a position among the top cadets in his class, completing his cadetship as the remarkable Top 8. This accomplishment reflects his development in all respects—his discipline, character, and strong will to serve the nation, not only in grades.

PCdt Lisondra at the institution did not just perform well academically. He also assumed leadership responsibilities, acting as 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳. It was not simple to balance these duties with the rigorous requirements of cadet life, but with careful time management, he made it work.

Good time management allowed him to juggle his academics, drills, and leadership responsibilities all at once, demonstrating that even the most difficult tasks may be more achievable with a clever attitude.

Starting the academy as one of the youngest in his class came with its own unique difficulties. PCdt Lisondra says, “𝘉𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴, 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘶𝘱 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘮 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴. But rather than letting this age difference stop him, he utilized it as inspiration to perform his best and show that age does not limit capacity.

“𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴; 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴,” he says. “𝘐 𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥, 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴. 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘸𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘤𝘺. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭. 𝘎𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴. 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯.”

His tale serves as a reminder that achievement is not about perfection. It’s about never giving up, learning from your errors, and being tough.

PCdt Lisondra is ready to meet new challenges with honor and honesty as he gets ready for a career in law enforcement. 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴.
