Along the breathtaking shoreline of the Pacific Ocean in Baler, Aurora, I was raised by the strong waves that taught me resilience in the face of storms and the strength to rise with each tide. Inspired by my father, a proud policeman, I chose the path of service and leadership. He planted the dream but it was my fire that kept it burning. I joined the PNPA not just for myself but to bring pride and honor to my family and the entire province of Aurora. This path led me to proudly say AREH AKKAW! AY BATANG BALER ITU!
Now, I am just a few steps away from earning my Anahaw, standing stronger and more unstoppable than ever. I rise to lead, serve and inspire the Filipino youth—especially the young women. My journey proves that being feminine and fearless can coexist and that no label can define our limits. Women can also be warriors in uniform, we are built to break barriers. Let us step forward, stand tall and show the world how we redefine leadership through the power of empowered women.
I am CADET FIRST CLASS JHENYN ERICA B. MELGAREJO, the First Battalion Intelligence Officer of the Philippine National Police Academy. Join the long maroon line—be a PNPA cadet.
