SACRIFICE: For a twenty-three-year-old POLICE LIEUTENANT JEPHTE DELA PAZ BARIGA “sacrifice” simply became his way of living. His journey in the public service opened his eyes on the reality of the hardships and opportunities in life, he knew that for him to realize his dream of becoming a police officer and serving our nation as its law enforcer, he must leave the comforts of his home at Negros Oriental.
STRUGGLE: From “Puhon” to “Padayon”, years also turned their pages quickly from his processing phases to enter the prestigious PNPA way back 2018 resulted positively in his admission to BSPS PNPA “ALAB-KALIS” Class of 2022 the same year. He was adamant to survive the four-year rigors of cadetship. Reception turned to Incorporation then to Recognition, ending the remarkable moments of every cadet’s life as plebes into a recognized member of the CCPNPA. He then became the Platoon Leader of the ALAB-KALIS Silent Drill Company, making his cadetship even more colorful. Day-by-day is an opportunity to experience struggle as a cadet, then overcoming it, and emerging stronger than yesterday. Finally, his struggles paved way for sweet success on April 21, 2022, the Graduation Day.
SURVIVAL: Ideals from the academy infused with his own strong personal values greatly impacted how he view service with an authentic heart to serve. He realized that to serve our community with utmost quality public service, he must not only survive, but become stronger, to have the ability to protect what matters to him most – the life of every filipino. This motivated him to enroll in the topnotch training offered by the Special Forces, the SFCQC, and luckily became part of SFCQC CL 21-2022.
SUCCESS: Nothing sweet comes easy, and it is sweetest when it is tended with hardwork, integrity, patience and determination. Now, finishing with flying colors and confidently ready to serve God, Country, and People, with great pride that we enjoin in this milestone as PLT JEPHTE D BARIGA is this years SFCQC CL 21-2022 CLASS TARZAN and TOP 3.
During an interview, “Hindi ko din talaga inaasahan ang mga na receive ko na awards, lalo pa mag Top 3, kasi during training, mahirap talaga. Pero siguro malakas ako sa kanya (ginoo), sinamahan ko pa ng dasal araw araw na ma survive ko ang course at inspirasyon ko na pamilya ko. Ayun dininig ng Ginoo ang dasal ko. Para sa atin tong lahat mga bok!” he stated.
